(11 April1945- 9th May 2021)The founder of Entrepreneur Women Organisation Society. HIS BELIEF - “ WORK IS WORSHIP”
CA Ram Kishore Garg was born in Jodhpur on 11th April 1945, to Smt. Mangal Kanwar and Shri. Ramjivanji Modi. Shri. R K Garg did his schooling in Bhilwara. After his graduation, Shri R K Garg came to Jodhpur to pursue his higher education in Chartered Accountancy, where he also completed studies in Law. Thereafter, he moved to Jaipur in 1972, and started his profession in Chartered Accountancy. Although he faced many challenges initially in his career, his amazing personality equipped him to overcome them easily, and resulted in quickly developing very cordial and trusted relationship with his clients and all the authorities he dealt with. Shri RK Garg had a very methodical and systematic style of working. He always used to thoroughly research on subject at hand, especially that related to his profession. His dedication to his profession would compel the senior IAS officers to admire him immensely. Most of them revered him as a trusted elder brother. At times, he would be approached by Shri. Rahul Gandhi for the advice on various political and personal issues. Shri R K Garg was also a highly trusted adviser and a personal friend of the Chief Minister, Shri Ashok Gehlot, who has been on record as a big admirer of Shri R K Garg. Other Senior officers of the Government of Rajasthan of the likes of the then Chief Secretary Shri. C.K Mathew, IAS Shri. Ramlubhaya, IAS Shri. T. Ravikant, IAS Shri. K K Pathak, prominent businessmen and eminent Socialists and educators looked up to him in high esteem. A very disciplined, determined, simple, dedicated, hardworking and an intelligent soul, he was also a great artist of the highest calibre. His art was highly evident in the sketches that he made of many great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, Bhagat Singh etc. that was loaded with patriotism in a class of his own. Shri Garg also had a passionate heart for poetry and literature! Early in his childhood he developed interest in literature, and some of his collections contain “Jaydrath vadh” by Rashtra Kavi Maithili Sharan Gupte and “Kurukshetra” by Rashtra Kavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar and many other highly scholarly literatures. He was an institution of excellence. He trained many young Chartered Accountants, interns and students and turned them into a successful professional. His motto in life was punctuality, hard work, and commitment. He always motivated and encouraged all his staff to pursue excellency in education. Never could a person, having met him once, could forget him ever! Such was his simplicity and truthfulness, which would leave a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of one and all. He was a very kind hearted, calm and generous soul, actively involved in service of the weak and underprivileged strata of the society. He dedicated 40 years of his prime life as a dynamic and a visionary leader of Lions Club International and Freemasonic Lodge. Shri Garg was highly inspired by the vision of Mahatma Gandhi who believed that the heart of India was the Rural and undeveloped areas of the country. “If the village perishes, India will perish with it too”. Therefore, the visionary ideology of Shri R K Garg contributed richly to discover ways and means to empower the villages and implementing ideas for strengthening vocational and skill based education in Rural India. To this effect, he helped form many NGOs that further created jobs and extended helping hands to the economically struggling people. His mission to educate girls and empower women created the vision of the EWO, and brought it into existence, and the Entrepreneur Women Organisation Society (EWO)was formally formed in 2020. Even the dreaded COVID could never dampen his resolve to ‘Work’, which he worshipped so sincerely, that even in the final 9 days of his earthly abode he continued to work in his inimitable style from the bed in the hospital, with a notepad and a pen in his hands. He truly justified his conviction “Work is Worship”. A fighter to the core, he fought hard with his failing health. He left for his heavenly abode on 9th May 2021, but shall ever continue to live with us, motivate us, guide us and mentor us.
